ACTIVITIES & EXCURSIONS

In between our yoga, pilates, and meditation classes, we will explore EVERYTHING that Bali has to offer. We will take group trips to several temples and visit the stunning terraced rice fields.  We will participate in a traditional Balinese Water Purification Ceremony.  We will enjoy the Kecak Fire Dance — a world-renowned performance from Balinese dancers.  We will learn to make traditional Balinese cuisine with an onsite cooking class. Other activities and excursions you may want to partake in include visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest, exploring Ubud’s markets, swimming with the dolphins, or going snorkeling or diving in the crystal blue waters off Menjangan Island.

And please remember, everything is optional… this is your vacation! We will have a full schedule of classes, activities, and excursions lined up but we encourage you to do as much or as little as you’d like…. relaxing by the pool or the beach with a coconut in hand sounds like a pretty perfect afternoon too!

How do I get to Bali? Which airport do I fly in and out of?

You will fly in and out of Ngurah Rai / Denpasar International Airport (DPS).  When booking your flights, please aim to land during the morning / early afternoon on Sunday, March 22nd and depart in the evening on Sunday, March 29th or Thursday, April 2nd (depending on which retreat option you choose).  105F will arrange and coordinate your airport pick up and drop off once you land in Bali.

IMPORTANT -- Thursday, March 19th is Nyepi.  Nyepi is Bali's New Year's Day of complete rest and silence.  The entire island shuts down from 5:59am on Thursday, March 19th through 6am on Friday, March 20th.  There are no flights in or out of Bali on Thursday, March 19th.

What are the payment details?

A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your spot.  Remainder of balance is due 60 days before the retreat starts (on or before January 22nd).

Do I need a passport?

Yes! Please check to make sure that your passport is valid for a minimum of 6 months after our Bali travel dates.

Do I need a tourist visa?

Yes!  All retreat attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own 30 day visitor/tourist visa online in advance of the trip (click HERE to purchase online).  The cost of this visa is 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) or approximately $35 USD and allows visitors to stay in Indonesia for 30 days.  Important to note when purchasing online – your visa must be used within 90 days of the date of issue so please be sure to wait until we are within this timeframe before applying and purchasing it.  Tourist visas are generally granted quickly - within minutes of submitting your online application.

Are any special shots or vaccinations required to enter Bali?

Traveling from the US, you are not required to have any special vaccinations to enter Indonesia.  That said, especially when traveling abroad, routine vaccinations (i.e. measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine) and your yearly flu shot and COVID shots should be up to date.  HERE is some additional health information from the CDC on the topic that you may find helpful.

What is the weather like in Bali in March/April?

You can expect hours of sunshine, a tropical/humid climate, and average March temperatures around 85 degrees F.

What should I bring to Bali?

Hot yoga/hot pilates wear (most days we will practice 2x per day), light/breathable clothes for our excursions and exploring, comfy shoes/sandals for walking, water bottle, swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, vitamins/medications, electrolytes, an adapter/converter for your electronics, and bug spray.

Will yoga mats and towels be provided?

Yoga mats, yoga towels, and any props we need for our classes are included with your retreat package and will be provided.

Can I do laundry?

Yes! You will have access to inexpensive laundry service with a quick turnaround time in Ubud and in NW Bali.

It’s a long flight. Is it worth it?

One million times YES.  Bali is a bucket list kind of place. It’s by far one of the most blissful locales in the whole wide world and we can guarantee that you will have an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience! We cannot wait to share the magic with you.
